Who's next ~ New release at The East Wind

Fridays and Mondays are the days that Kyra releases her new images at The East Wind...so fun to see what her wonderful imagination and talent cook up! Today's release is called Who's Next (MAC0094) and features Lucy Loo as a very scary nurse with attitude! I coloured Lucy Loo with Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut her, matting her in black for extra strength.

The background began with a shape die cut with SpellBinders Labels 25 cut from black cardstock and a larger one cut from a designer paper from DCWV's High School Mat Stack. Lucy Loo was popped up on foam tape and adhered to these two layers. red and white baker's twine was wrapped around the layers and tucked underneath her before being adhered to the back. White faux stitching was added with a paint pen.

A black rectangle was cut to fit the white card base and a scalloped border was punched from red cardstock to tuck under the right edge. White faux stitching was added to the black layer to create repetition and contrast. The sentiment was computer generated, matted in red, and popped up on foam tape. Two threaded white buttons were added to the upper right corner for balance and fun.

Thanks for joining Lucy Loo and me today. Believe me, it's important to keep her in a good mood when she's carrying a needle and an attitude that large! If you want to see more versions of this image, pop over to The East Wind Facebook page to see the fabulous creations of some of my uber talented teamies.

Life is good; so is art.
